Are you struggling with chronic pain and persistent symptoms?

  • Do you still have chronic pain and persistent symptoms even after multiple healthcare treatments including medications, physical therapy, surgery and/or acupuncture?

  • Have you worked hard to try to overcome your pain, but nothing seems to help?

  • Has this left you feeling frustrated, discouraged, depressed, and angry?

  • Do you wonder if you’ll ever be free from pain?

Neuroscience, Chronic Pain, and Evidence-Based Brain Therapies

Recent advances in neuroscience have provided us with a deeper understanding of how the brain causes pain in the body. These breakthroughs have paved the way for the development of new evidence-based brain therapies such as Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), offering effective tools to help you recover from chronic pain and other persistent symptoms. Our coaching services aim to guide you towards a pain-free life, leveraging the insights gained from these new and innovative therapeutic approaches.

How can Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) reverse most chronic pain conditions?

Most forms of chronic pain are not caused by physical problems in the body, but rather the misfiring of pain circuits in the brain. When pain becomes chronic, the brain and nervous system has undergone changes in neural pathways and interpret normal safe signals from the body as dangerous. Pain Reprocessing Therapy is rooted in neuroscience, and it is a system of techniques to retrain your brain and nervous system and reverse these neural pathways to reduce or eliminate chronic pain. In 2022, a randomized controlled trial showed Pain Reprocessing Therapy improved pain in 98% of participants with 66% of these participants cured of chronic pain at the end of the study, and these results were maintained over a 12-month follow-up.

Is Pain Reprocessing Therapy right for you?

Recent clinical studies indicate that close to 90% of people with chronic pain suffer from learned faulty neural pain pathways in the brain, rather than structural causes. In the scientific literature, this is often referred to as “Neuroplastic Pain”, “Centralized Sensitization”, “Mindbody Syndrome” or “Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS)".”

If you have been struggling with any of the following conditions for 3 months or more, Pain Reprocessing Therapy may be right for you. These include:

  • Back Pain

  • Neck Pain

  • Leg and Hip Pain

  • Plantar Fasciitis and Foot Pain

  • Arm and Shoulder Pain

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

  • Irritable Bladder Syndrome

  • Pelvic Pain

  • Chronic Tendinitis

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

  • Interstitial Cystitis

  • Tennis Elbow

  • Long Covid

  • Temporo-Mandibular Joint Pain (TMJ)

  • Dysautonomia

  • Burning Mouth Syndrome

  • Other medically unexplained chronic pain

About Me

Andrew N. Freedman, PhD, FISPE I am an advanced certified Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) coach and clinical epidemiologist based in Washington, DC. With a doctoral degree in clinical epidemiology and a track record of over 100 peer-reviewed publications on factors related to chronic disease and pain, I have established a private coaching practice where I offer one-on-one coaching and workshops.

My dedication to coaching stems from personal experience with the debilitating effects of chronic pain, and I am committed to sharing evidence-based tools with others to radically reduce or eliminate pain and improve their quality of life. The latest research in neuroscience on pain management is extremely promising, yet largely unknown to those who could benefit from it. Drawing on my extensive clinical epidemiology experience, along with my certifications and training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Heath and Pain Coaching, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, I provide clients with the most effective tools in pain science today, coupled with compassionate guidance, to become empowered agents in their own healing.
